2018 Ragtime Festival in Sutter Creek

The 20th annual Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival is right around the corner so be sure to get your dancing shoes. The Jackson Ragtime Festival is a local favorite event that is sponsored by the Mother Lode Ragtime Society. This year, the festival will take place on Friday, August 10th through Sunday, August 12th. If you’re interested in the event, be sure to check out these places to stay in amador county.


The Annual Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival will allow you to step back into time as you emerge into the era of Honkey Tonk of music. Feel free to dress up in clothes reminiscent of the Great Gatsby Era or simply come as you are and enjoy the festivities. This action packed weekend includes a wide variety of solo sets where talented individuals show off their music as well as larger concerts and of course the mixed sets that will feature the talents of several of the festival artists coming together. During this weekend event, hear from a wide variety of talented musicians, all specializing in the ragtime era of music. At this festival you’ll hear a wide variety of music from individuals on the piano to full bands playing classic ragtime numbers.


If you love music, than you’ll truly enjoy the annual Ragtime Festival. On Friday, August 10th, the events begin at 4pm; on Saturday, August 11th, the events begin at 10am; on Sunday, the final day of the festival, the events begin at 9am. Event badges for this fun festival must be reserved through the Mother Lode Ragtime Society located at 11310 Prospect Drive #10 in Jackson. Daily badges and concert tickets are also available.
