With spring time approaching, there are so many Jackson, CA upcoming events. Here’s some ideas of what to do in sutter creek ca and read on to learn more about upcoming spring events near Jackson!

 

The Western Railway Museum is your chance to experience California the way it was 100 years ago. The museum has restored traditional trolleys and trains that used to transport guests to other parts of California. One of their most popular events are their annual Scenic trains that takes place in April. The annual Scenic Limited will take passengers on a leisurely round trip totalling 11 miles through the heart of Northern California. Along the way you’ll experience views of Mt. Diablo and the rolling Montezuma Hills. The Scenic Limited will run from April 4-29. Admission starts at just $10.

 

Enjoy the great outdoors with the help of the Rush Ranch. The Ranch will be hosting their open house event on Saturday, April 28th from 10am – 3pm. At the open house, you’ll be able to enjoy a number of fun activities that are great for the whole family. Witness impressive demonstrations including blacksmithing and making horseshoes. Other demonstrations include weaving, carving and spinning. You can also enjoy the art show, a display of ranch and farm equipment and a Native American culture display. If you feel tired, stop and enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride and tour afterwards, stop by the Kid’s Activity Station where they can enjoy fun art activities and projects. There’s all this and more at the annual Rush RAnch Open House! Mark your calendars for this exciting event.

 

This year on Earth Day, have your kids learn about the joys of fishing with the annual Kids Day of Fishing Derby. The event will take place on April 21st and is free of charge for kids ages 3-15. The event is to help get kids outdoors and to learn about the joys of fishing. The event will take place at the Fairfield Civic Center Pond with sign in starting at 7:30am. The derby begins at 8:30 – 1pm. This event is first come, first served so be sure to get their early! The event is open to the first 250 kids.
