With summer nearly in full force, it is almost time for one of the best events this time of year – the annual Amador County Fair! This summer, come and enjoy the festivities while witnessing the historical, cultural and agricultural diversity that Amador has to offer. This year, the Amador County Fair will take place from July 28th through the 31st. This is a family-friendly event that you won’t want to miss!

The theme of the 78th annual Amador county fair is, “Saluting the Heroes Among Us”. Throughout the event, there will be a number of fun events that will take place. For example, in addition to all the usual fairground activity, there will also be events such as the Amador County CCPRA Rodeo that will take place on July 30th; the Amador County Wine Tasting event on July 29th; The Hot Rod Truck and Tractor show on July 29th; and the County Fair Destruction Derby that will take place on July 31st. Another family-friendly event will be the 8th annual Amador County Fair Foundation Kick-Off BBQ. This event will take place on Saturday, July 23rd. At this event, there will be music, dancing, a delicious BBQ chicken dinner, raffle prizes, and both silent and live auctions. This event will take place on the Amador Fairgrounds at Picnic Hill and will occur from 6pm – 10pm. Tickets for this event range in price. Adult tickets are $20 and tickets for children 12 and under are $10.

Tickets for all these and other events that will take place during the County Fair must be purchased separately. General gate admission tickets are good to get you into the Amador County fairground. Tickets for adults are $10; tickets for seniors 60 years and over are $7; tickets for kids 7-12 years are $5, and children 6 and under get in for FREE.
