Believe in the Magic of the Holidays with ‘A Christmas Story!’

Do you love the classic holiday film, “A Christmas Story”? If so, you’re going to love the adaptation for the stage. This holiday season, the Volcano Theatre Company has brought back this wonderful holiday story for the stage. If you’re interested in Amador County events during the holidays, come and watch as all your favorite characters like Ralphie, his eccentric father and loving mother come to life on the stage! This production of A Christmas Story will be playing at The Volcano Theatre Company from November 28 – December 14. Tickets are on sale now!

The price of a general admission ticket is $16 and tickets for seniors 62+ are $14. Doors open at 7:30pm and the curtains will rise at 8pm. For Sunday matinees, doors will open at 1:30pm and the show will begin at 2pm. Seating in the theatre is limited to only 50 people, so get your tickets now before they all sell out!

When you watch A Christmas Story, you will travel back to 1938, Hohman, Indiana for a story unlike any other. All Ralphie, our protagonist, wants for Christmas is an “official Red Ryder 200 shot carbine action range model air rifle with a compass and this thing that tells time!” And so, in the few weeks before Christmas, he begins to come up with ways to convince his parents to get him the BB gun. Unfortunately, it seems like all the adults in his life keep telling him that he can’t get a BB gun because he’ll shoot his eye out! On top of figuring out how to convince his parents, he and his friends get into some situations as they try to avoid the bully Scut Farkus and when Ralphie’s friend is dared to lick a frozen lamppost! Come Christmas Day, what will happen? Does Ralphie get his official Red Ryder 200 BB gun? Bring the whole family down to this wonderful production of the classic holiday movie, A Christmas Story.
