The McLaughlin family has owned the ranch that Daffodil Hill is located on since 1887. Back during the Gold Rush, Daffodil Hill was one of the regular stomping grounds for teamsters that were hauling timber from the Sierras down to different mines as well as for eastbound travelers that were about to embark on the Amador-Nevada Wagon Road. Just as these early Californian’s enjoyed the beautiful daffodils that bloomed each spring, you and your family can also enjoy them today!
