There’s a reason that Lacy Dalton is known as Country’s Queen and now is your chance to see her in action right here in Sutter Creek! Dale Poune will join the Country Queen on vocals, guitar, and mandolin for an awesome show. Lacy J Dalton will be performing on Saturday, April 18th at 8pm at the Sutter Creek Theatre. The theatre is centrally located at 44 Main St., Sutter Creek and there are plenty of Sutter Creek hotels nearby. Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $22 and tickets the day of the show will be sold for $25. While Lacy J. Dalton certainly has talent, what really takes her act to the next level is her electrifying stage presence. She was able to hold her own when performing for big name acts such as Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, and Merle Haggard. You might recognize some of her songs such as “Black Coffee” or “16th Avenue” which were hits worldwide. Other songs that she is known for include “Crazy Blue Eyes”, “Hard Times”, “Takin’ It Easy”, “Hillbilly Girl with the Bus”, and Everybody Makes Mistakes”. “16th Avenue” is known as the Anthem for Nashville songwriters and was voted as one of Country’s Top 100 songs ever made by Billboard Magazine. She has also received numerous Grammy nominations throughout her career and in 1979 she was even voted Best New Female Artist by the Academy of Country Music. She also received 3 prestigious awards from the Bay Area Music Awards for Best Country-Folk Recording.
