If you love wine, then the Amador Wine Country Tour is just for you. Amador County is unique as the climate matched with the natural volcanic soil combines to create the perfect environment for grape vines to grow. As a result, the area is home to Zinfandels and Sauvignon Blancs that have won awards for taste. Right now, the Jackson Lodge is offering a wine tour of Amador County. Different packages are available to best suit your needs. If you’re looking for wine tasting near Sacramento, then it will be worthwhile to look into the exciting tours that we are now offering!

Two packages are offered from the hotel. The first allows you and another person to visit 3 wineries for $399. The second package allows you and a guest to visit 5 wineries for $499. You are allowed to add up to 2 additional guests per tour for an additional $99 per guest. If there are groups larger than 4 people, then it is required to purchase separate packages. Each package also includes accommodation for 2 nights at the Jackson Lodge. You have a choice of choosing between the Deluxe Dual Queen rooms or choosing the Deluxe King room. Transportation from the lodge to and from the wineries is included in the package.

Here is some information about the various wineries that you can choose from. At Drytown Cellars, learn all about the winemaking process and what happens from the vine to the bottle. Here, be sure to try their bold reds and zesty zinfandels. At Villa Toscano Winery, you’re in for an authentic Italian feel. You can even pair your wine tastings with artisan sandwiches and pizzas. By the end, you’ll think you’ve travelled to Italy! If you are looking to try a wide variety of wines, then try going to Cooper Vineyards. This particular vineyard offers over 20 wines for you to enjoy! Scott Harvey Wines is the oldest winery in the entire area.
