Get Moving and Join in the 49er Bypass Run!

If you are looking for a fun and exciting event during your stay in Jackson CA, than Amador County has something just for you! It is nearly time for the 9th annual 49er Bypass Run! At this event there will be a 5k and a 10k that you can register for. What’s great about this event is that this race is open to everyone! It doesn’t matter if you are young or old or an experienced runner or just a beginner, this event will be enjoyable for all who want to participate. The 9th annual 49er Bypass Run will take place on Saturday, April 4th. If you would like to register for this fun race, registration forms are now available at the ACRA (Amador County Recreation Agency) office. Online registration is also available at active.com, however, they do have a $3.25 processing fee for each participant who registers. For adults 18 and over, the registration fee is $25. Since the race is open to both the young and the old alike, this could be a fun event that the whole family can enjoy. Simply register each member of your family and you will be all set. On the day of the race, registration will be at 8am. At 9am both the 5k and the 10k will officially begin. Once most of the racers have finished, there will even be an awards ceremony to celebrate the great job everyone has done. What is also great about this race is the beautiful route that the course takes. The race will begin and end right on Main Street Sutter Creek. Then, racers will run up Highway 49 and then turn right onto Amador Road. The 5k and the 10k runners will travel together up until the 1.5-mile mark, which will take you right by the Mine. After that, the 5k runners will loop around, come back the way they came and finish back at Main Street. The 10k runners will head uphill through the streets of the neighborhood enjoy the view, and then travel through rolling hills until they reach the finish line at Main Street.
