Travel Back in the Past at the Days of 49 & Musical Organ Rally!

Are you looking for a new and interesting way to experience the West? Want to look back at America’s past? Then, come be a part of Days of 49 Celebration and Musical Organ Rally at Amador County. Now is your chance to ride on an authentic wagon train through various parts of Amador County for a street fair! For those staying around Jackson Main Street, walk on over the event that you won’t want to miss. The event takes place from September 25 – 28. Call 209-223-4603 for more information.

 On Saturday and Sunday at the historic Jackson Main Street, you can experience the music of the past. Come see unique machines from the past and musical band organ players from all over the country. See how these machines work, hear from the people that own them, and learn a little bit about America’s past. The event is also FREE and great for the whole family.

On Thursday, a wagon train will depart from Cooper Vineyards and arrive in Amador County Fairgrounds. Once at the fairgrounds, enjoy a BBQ dinner where casual entertainment will be provided. There will be an overnight encampment. The next day, a wagon train leaves from Plymouth bound for Drytown, Amador City and Sutter Creek. You’ll stop for lunch on Main Street and continue on to Wagon Train Camp, where a BBQ dinner and entertainment will await you! There will also be overnight encampment.

On Saturday, the wagon train leaves Sutter Creek bound for Jackson, where you’ll stop for the Musical Organ Rally. Afterward, you’ll have a BBQ dinner and at 7pm, step back in time with a historic cemeteries tour and re-enactments performed by locals. On Sunday, a breakfast at Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is open to the public and at 9am, there is a Wagon Train Church Service opened to the public. After, make your way to Main Street for the Days of 49 Celebration, where there will be a block party filled with music, entertainment such as gunfights and gold panning, and fun for all ages from 12pm – 5pm. At 1pm, there will be a musical organ church concert at Jackson Methodist Church.
